Moran Delivers With ASCS Elite Outlaw At Texarkana 67 Speedway

TEXARKANA, Ark. (September 7, 2024) A battle for the ages came down to the final 150-feet at Texarkana 67 Speedway Saturday night as Rees Moran delivered a last corner pass for the win with the MYCO Plastics ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprints.

A pair of reds to start the 30 lap affair, the green lights finally shown with Moran taking off with the lead. Finding traffic after only a few laps, that is when things would almost end for the No. 22m as contact trying to clear a slower car sent Moran into the turn one wall.

Somehow able to avoid race-ending damage, Moran kept rolling but would surrender the lead to Noah Gass.

Under fire as well from John Carney II, the front three cars battled every line around the quarter-mile oval. Making his car as wide as possible, Gass held off the relentless challenge of the No. 22m.

Varying his line to the top of one and two, then the bottom and middle at the other end following a restart with eight laps to go, the pair raced to the white flag with only a couple of car lengths separating them. Rocketing off the cushion, Moran pulled even with Gass of the second turn and quickly moved to take the lower line into the final two turns.

Forcing Gass on the brakes, was all that was needed to secure his second career win with the series, along with the night's $3,500 prize. Noah Gass and John Carney II made up the podium. Missouri's Ayrton Gennetten crossed fourth, with Austin Mundie in fifth.

The MYCO Plastics ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprints race again
October 18 and 19 at Rocket Raceway Park.
